The writer and their family traveled to Boracay for a 3-day stay, opting for a quieter spot away from the crowded white beach. They stayed at the Savoy Hotel, enjoying calm and private beaches. Despite the crowded commercial areas, they savored the sunset and welcomed the new year with beachside fireworks. Overall, a memorable and enjoyable trip.

Last June, my wife and I decided we needed to have some “we” time. No Kids, no agendas, just “we” time. Since it was already June which ruled out trip to the beaches for us since it was rain and typhoon season here in the Philippines. We wanted to visit somewhere urban but relatively cheap […]
Osaka 2019
Osaka is quite a refreshing place for me. Despite being the 2ndlargest metropolis in Japan, it still retains a laid-back feel amidst the observable hustle and bustle of a modern urban area.
Baguio… after 2 years
It has been 2 years since I last visited Baguio. It was the last time I was able to travel there with my mom and it was literally after that trip 2 years ago, that we found out my mom was sick. As my daughter aptly put it: Every firsts after amah/my mom’s passing still […]

Zambawood
Someone once said that the Philippines is the only tropical country in the world that celebrates the summer season and if you see the frenzy of activities and photos posted on the different social media, you will understand how true this is. The most popular destination during these hot and humid summer months are the […]
Antonio’s Tagaytay – The Pilgrimage
I have a confession to make. I am a carnivore and I love meat, specially beef and more specifically steak. I am always on the look out for the “ultimate” steak. Of all the steaks I tried (both locally and abroad), the best steak for me (IMHO) is the steak from Antonio’s Tagaytay. Antonio’s Tagaytay (http://antoniosrestaurant.ph) is […]
