Revisiting Foggy Mountain Cookhouse

For foodies travelling up north to Baguio, Foggy Mountain Cookhouse should be a familiar name. Chef Marianito “Babes” Reyes opened this wonderful place at the outskirts of Baguio city proper. It is located on the outskirts of Baguio City proper but nonetheless, it is quite easy to access specially via Waze. The alfresco dining area is the converted rest home of Chef Babes and can only accomodate a limited number (20 +) of guests, hence the need for advanced booking. Upon booking, Chef Babes requests all his quests to pre-order their choice of food. This is because each item is freshly prepared to ensure the best quality for all the ingredients needed for our maximum dining experience and pleasure.

Foggy Mountain Cookhouse got its name from the fog that seems to roll in everyday and the view of the fog-enveloped mountian side which serves as a backdrop for the guests as they partake of the mouth-watering dishes Chef Babes personally prepares and serves.

What a view… (photo from my previous visit here)

This summer, my family and I had the opportunity to visit Baguio again after 2 years of absence and Foggy Mountian Cookhouse was among the top of our must re-visit place as I looked forward to catching up with Chef Babes. We were also blessed with the opportunity to dine together with our church’s senior pastor, associate pastor and their respective family who were also visiting Baguio. . Great food + good friends = Wonderful bonding and fellowship experience 🙂

For those who want to not just enjoy the wonderful rustic environment and cool weather of Baguio but also want to enjoy great food, then make sure Foggy Mountain Cookhouse is part of your must visit list. I am sure that like me, Chef Babes will leave you and your belly smiling. 🙂
