I recently discovered a nice place that serves great coffee. What makes it even better is it’s not too far from my place.
When I first saw the place from the outside, I had to admit that I was a little disappointed because the place looked a little run down with a slightly fading paint job. It looked quite unassuming. Looking in from the outside, it seemed like the interior was dark and didn’t look too welcoming. All that changed the moment I stepped inside, I was immediately met by the wonderful aroma of good coffee. The friendly staff ushered me and my family to our seats and gave us our menu. I quickly perused the menu and ordered since I was really hungry and was really in need of a caffeine infusion. The friendly staff told us that their best coffee was the hand-brewed coffee and it came with 3 variants – Mild, Medium and Full-bodied. So my wife and I ordered the full bodied variant and it was indeed good. While waiting for our orders, I took the opportunity to look around the place and take some photos. It had a nice, warm & cozy interior. The wonderful ambiance was due to the mixture of the wooden tables, chair and flooring coupled with the stark industrial design of the place. There are a couple of glass enclosed rooms in the place. One of them is used to store all their coffee beans in a temperature controlled environment while the other room is their roasting room.
When our orders arrived, I noticed that the orders were a bit on the small size (or maybe I was just really hungry or I just have a really big appetite.), nonetheless, the food tasted good. The coffee was so good that one cup was not enough for me. What I loved about Coffee Empire was that unlike other 3rd wave coffee place, it didn’t feel cramped. The size and space of the interior provided a wonderful balance between privacy and intimacy.
It is obvious that I like the place and will be coming back to it often. Coffee Empire serves great coffee along with tasty comfort food which are all reasonably priced. Two Thumbs up for me 🙂
PS: I probably will come back to it ( for the 3rd time) armed with a wide angle lens so that I can capture more interior shots of the place. 🙂
Coffee Empire is located at #74 West Avenue, West Triangle, Quezon City
