The Christian Bible Church of the Philippines (CBCP) is a Filipino-Chinese Christian church based in Quezon City, Philippines. Established on 1987, the church existed to be both faithful to Christ who is our Head, and to be a church that walks according to the teachings of the Bible.
CBCP’s Vision
To see generations of Christ-like disciples transforming lives and families, impacting communities and nations for the glory of God.
CBCP’s Vision
To know God.
To love people.
To make disciples.
The purpose of CBCP is
At the Christian Bible Church of the Philippines, the Bible is our foundation and the Lord Jesus Christ is the center of our church.
We exist for the sole purpose of fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of Christ. The Great Commandment tells us to love the Lord our God with our whole heart, will, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. The Great Commission sends us to make disciples of all nations, that the lost may receive eternal life, and multitudes from all nations may become Christ’s disciples.
A CBCP Disciple is an authentic follower of Jesus, growing in Christ-likeness and making disciples of the same kind.
To fulfill the vision, mission and purpose of the church, On July 2016, following the leading of the Spirit, the church council led by the church senior pastor embarked on a major church building project named Set Forth. God opened the way for the church to be able to find an ideal location for its proposed Discipleship Center campus at South Triangle, Quezon City.
After 4 years of construction, the partially completed Discipleship Center opened its doors for worship last January 26, 2020 but then Covid-19 became a worldwide pandemic and thus in-person worship was indefinitely suspended by the Philippine government until such time it is safe to resume. Although many view this as a setback, it actually turned out as a blessing-in-disguise because the construction finishing work was able to proceed uninterrupted (except for a couple of months during the Enhanced Community Quarantine -ECQ) and early this year the whole Set Forth project was completed as all the finishing works for the Discipleship Center were completed. We now eagerly await the Lord’s grace in ending this pandemic so we can resume in-person worship. The whole project from start to finish was a leap of faith, trusting our Lord to lead and provide for all that was needed to embark and complete it. The vision started out as impossible, then slowly it became difficult but with God, now it is done/completed. Set Forth is truly a testament of God’s leading, provision and faithfulness.
Today, April 4, 2021 is not only Resurrection Sunday but also the 34th Founding Anniversary of the Christian Bible Church of the Philippines. We look back at the past 34 years of God’s abounding grace and faithfulness and look forward to His presence and leading as we navigate new challenges in fulfilling the Great Commission in a pandemic and post-pandemic season. To God be all the glory!
