“Home Kong”

HK 2016
Golden Hour at the Tsing Yi/Tsuen Wan area. This was shot through the Airport Express train on my way to the airport.

Hong Kong or as a friend of mine likes to call it “Home Kong” is probably my fave place to go to overseas. It’s not the most beautiful country I’ve been too, nor is it the most fascinating one but it is the most comfortable place (just like home) for me to visit. I love the mixture of old and new, the food, the crowd, the fast paced hustle and bustle of this city. It somehow manages to mix the East and the West and yet remain distinctly Chinese. I marvel at its ultra-efficient transport infrastructure system from its fame subway rail system – the MTR, to the taxis (albeit some are manned with frenetic drivers), bus and ferry system that allows you travel to almost any part of the city with ease.

I was blessed to have the chance to visit HK once more for a short 4-day trip with my family.   To say I love HK would be an understatement. God willing, I’ll be coming back home to “HOME KONG” 🙂

And as with all my trips, this one wouldn’t be complete with out me taking photos. It’s the first time I travelled without a safety net/backup camera, all I had with me for this trip was my Fuji X-Pro 2 with 2 lenses – the Fuji 16-55mm f/2.8, which I used for 95% of my shots and the Fuji 35mm f/1.4.  I hope you’ll all take time to check each photo (click for a higher resolution view). Please do drop me a line in the comment section. I love to hear from you. Thanks and God bless 🙂
