When things don’t go our way, our default reaction is to feel bad towards people, at situations and ultimately, at God for placing us there. We think God doesn’t care anymore. We feel bad, we feel sad, we feel cheated. We feel like we deserve much more than this. These are the lies the Devil whispers to us, if we succumb to these lies then these become “D”isappointments. It brings us down and creates doubts in us about God’s goodness.
But when we learn to trust God for all things and in all circumstances, including difficult times in our lives, these “D“isappointments become “HIS”-appointments for us. A pathway to intimacy with Him, an opportunity for submission to Him and eventually more blessings from Him because then we are living according to His will and plan for us. Trust the Lord with all your heart and do not lean upon on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight . (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Happiness doesn’t mean God giving us all that we want in life. True happiness is when we are able and willing to accept and receive all God wants to give to us , the things that HE wants for us in our lives.
Let’s all broaden our views and learn to see things from God’s eyes. God bless 🙂
