There are people in this world whose behavior, character and lack of ethics are so reprehensible that I ask myself why do I need to be civil with them. But then I am reminded that being civil is never dependent on the other person but is solely a reflection of my character, behavior & upbringing.
Romans 12:17-18 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. (18) If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Good advice for all of us. Thanks

It’s a challenge for me to live out. It’s not easy as I am a pretty emotionally driven person but by God’s grace, I’ll take it one day at a time. Thank you sir 😀

Hi Daniel. Thanks for sharing this scripture, definitely one for me at the moment! Sometimes I get so frustrated about how careless people are (e.g. people throwing litter on the streets and driving in a dangerous way). It tests my patience. But we are all sinners and none of us are perfect. I just try to be the most loving person I can be and try hard to resist getting angry when I witness these things!

Thanks so much for your comment. Time and again I am reminded that we may be the instrument God use to reach out tho these people. It is definitely not easy specially when these people do hurtful things deliberately and repeatedly but there lies the challenge. Do we abandon all that Christ did for us and repay evil for evil or do we hold on and respond in love and kindness? God bless you sir.
